Homecoming 2017: One Heel of a Storm

Catch Up With Brothers at Our Old Stomping Grounds

This year’s Homecoming game has been set for October 28 against the Miami Hurricanes, and it’s sure to be One Heel of a Storm!

Round up your pledge class and other brothers you’d like to see that weekend. Be sure to stop by the chapter house before you head over to your tailgate on what we hope will be a sunny fall afternoon! And remember, we are offering parking this year!

UNC is also offering many fun activities as part of Homecoming 2017. Check out the official schedule.

Last Chance to Join the Honor Roll

So far, just one brother has added his name to our honor roll of donors. Without the loyal support of our alumni, we can’t continue to accomplish our goals, hold alumni events, or support our active chapter. Please take a moment to make a gift today by sending a check to our processing center listed […]

Chapter Will Offer Parking This Football Season

We are gearing up for football season, and this year, we will be offering 20 parking spaces for alumni on game days!

The price is $125 for a season pass (six games) and $25 for individual games.

(Note: There will be seven home games this season, but parking will not be available on the October 7th game against Notre Dame due to the Sigma Nu Parents’ Weekend events.)

Which Players Will be the Most Influential This Season?

It’s never too soon to get excited about basketball. After all, there are just four months left until the season begins for our defending national champions! The Tar Heels will kick off the season on November 10 with a game at home against Northern Iowa.

Your Support Will Keep Psi Chapter Strong

Join the Honor Roll

So far this year, just one alumnus has made a contribution. We want to thank Bradley Weisner ’81 for his generosity. As you can tell by these poor results, though, we really need your help.

When you donate to Psi Chapter of Sigma Nu, your gift goes directly to something we all need—community.

After all, isn’t this what led us down the path to brotherhood? Seeking to be part of something bigger, developing lifelong friends, bonding over our shared values—these benefits are at the core of the Sigma Nu experience and signify what community is all about.

George Pace ’73 Shares Memories of the Good Old Days

If you lived in the Psi Chapter house at the same time as George Pace ’73, there’s a good chance you remember learning a whole semester’s worth of economics from him in the card room the night before finals, or recovering from many a Saturday while watching Sunday football in the TV room with him and the rest of the brothers.

George recently wrote in to share some of his favorite Sigma Nu memories. Who else remembers some of these great times?

Longing for One More Day at the Chapter House

With the days getting warmer and another class graduated, we start to feel pretty nostalgic about the good old days. This time of year, you may be wishing you could be back at the chapter house, playing a game of basketball, soaking up the atmosphere on the porch like Jack Wooten ’09 remembers, or enjoying one of those famous parties. As Tim Ward ’76 recalls: “We were famous for having bands, and we had a party house, a bartender, and kitchen staff.”

Why Strong Alumni Connections Are Good for Your Health

Recently, The Boston Globe published an article with a pretty shocking headline… “The biggest threat facing middle-age men isn’t smoking or obesity. It’s loneliness.”

Find out why catching up with all your brothers, even if it’s been years, is so important for your health.
