Bradley Weisner ’81
Why did you join Sigma Nu?
I joined for the brotherhood and fellowship.
What is your funniest Sigma Nu memory?
Beach weekend I was a sophomore spring of 1979 at some cheap hotel in Myrtle Beach and it was the first wide open beach I had ever seen. Some senior brothers brought boxes of shaving cream and a huge shaving cream fight commenced by the pool. The pool was milky white when we were done.
What is something the current actives may not know about the house from when you were in school?
During summer school, some of us rising seniors would cookout and grill on the wing overlooking Kens Quickee Mart and Granville Tower, drinking beer and toasting the sunset.
What is your favorite fraternity tradition? Why?
Parties in the “party house” or front porch when we came back to school in the fall. Legendary “Symbol 8” concert packed frat row and rocked!
What do you miss most about living in Chapel Hill?
Feeling young and carefree, with free time and all the camaraderie, music and sports.
What’s going on in your life now?
I have a son Jonathan, age 25, who married his high school sweetheart, Jessie.
