My wife, Ann, and I still live in Chapel Hill where I work half time as a pediatrician with the UNC School of Medicine. We have two children and five grandchildren and we enjoy visiting them in Asheville and Atlanta. We try to stay fit with regular exercise and are thankful that we can still get up and around every day. Seeing brothers of my vintage at the reunion organized by Dave Buxton ’62 last May was a lot of fun and brought back many fond memories.

I am an environmental chemist/project manager serving as an adviser on chemical-pesticide stewardship issues to the FAO-Rome, WHO-Geneva and a number of governments in Asia, Africa and Europe. I am also the recipient of more than 10 environmental awards, including the USA’s highest environmental award: the EPA Gold Medal for Environmental Excellence. My food scientist spouse, Rita, and I rotate between our homes near the center of Lithuania’s baroque capital of Vilnius and the spa community of Druskininkai.
