Mark C. Cramer

Mr. Cramer is President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Defense and Business (IDB), a non-profit research and education institute affiliated with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The IDB organizes and delivers a wide range of educational programs for the Department of Defense and the military services bringing them together with leading private sector companies to exchange best practices, organizational innovations and cutting edge technologies. Mr. Cramer serves as Executive Director of the Center of Excellence in Logistics and Technology (LOGTECH) the flagship military education program of the IDB delivered in partnership with the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He currently also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Kenan-Flagler Business School. Mr. Cramer was involved in the formation of the IDB in 1997, and has been actively engaged in all of its programs and offerings since that time.
An attorney, Mr. Cramer has worked for clients internationally and at the federal, state and local level. He served in the Federal Government as General Counsel of the U.S. Government Printing Office from 1983 to 1985. He also was active in real estate development and international trade with China during his career. He has served on a number of boards and commissions including the Administrative Conference of the United States and the N.C. General Statutes Commission, and he is on the board of directors of the National Chamber Foundation. Mr. Cramer is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in Washington, D.C., Florida and North Carolina.
